Frances Izon - Keys & Flute

Frances Izon began her musical adventures in New York City with a love for the Beatles and Herbie Mann. Growing up in New York, she studied under Patricia Spencer (Da Capo Chamber Players)appreciating Schoenberg and Eric Dolphy.

After relocating to California, she discovered a passion for Latin music, studying Latin patterns, montuno, Samba-Brazilian patterns, Reggae and other world beats. She has performed in several Latin funk bands at La Pena and Ashkenaz, Bay Area festivals, and has recorded and accompanied various Bay Area vocalists, including Kristina Bennett. Frances is enjoying the unique opportunity to share her musical experience in collaboration with Karambà.
