Clark Seal is an experienced Percussionist, and performer. Drawn to drums at an early age, Clark has moved through life keeping time through rhythm. His passion for percussion was influenced by his Central American heritage, and it wasn’t long before he was studying the different rhythms and drums of Latin America and beyond.
He studied Afro-Brazilian rhythms and Samba under master Drummer Fernando de Sanjins. He was invited to play with his performing company Samba do Coraçao and participated in many performances including the San Francisco Ethnic Dance Festival, Sf Carnival Parade, Shoreline, Bill Graham Presents and many other Bay Area Venues.
Most recently he was the percussionist for Sang Matiz who had the honor to open for the legendary Cuban band “Buena Vista Social Club” at the Saratoga Mountain Winery in their final “Adios Tour” followed by an invitation to share the stage with Ozomatli.
He is now excited to be a part of his newest project with “Karambá” bringing an exciting new sound of Latin/Brazilian fusion.
